Nicole started practicing yoga at home with DVD's and online videos and was excited to see how quickly she progressed. Eventually she joined Hot Spot and realized yoga was not only a fun physical challenge, but a way to connect her internal experience with her external experience. The peace of mind and presence she found while practicing began to overflow into the rest of her life. As a teacher Nicole hopes to guide others to unlock strength, freedom, and self-acceptance within themselves. She intends to share the transformational tools that she has gained through Yoga to empower others to step into their own uniqueness and shine their brightest. In Nicole's free time she likes to  spend time with loved ones, explore, hike, travel, camp, kayak, paint and work with graphic design.

Kintu Makanji

Kintu started a consistent Baptiste power yoga practice in the summer of 2007 with the hopes of gaining energy and loosing pregnancy weight. At first she found the practice extremely challenging, but the benefits she felt kept her committed to working through the resistance. For the first time in her life she felt a connection to her mind, body and heart. This connection grew in depth with every practice and training. She considers herself to be a lifelong student of yoga and is passionate about sharing the power of the practice.

Kintu holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Central Florida and an RYT-500 Yoga Teacher Certification through Yoga Alliance. She is grateful to all her teachers she's had the privilege to study with including Baron Baptiste, Sarah Powers and Sadhguru.

Tracey Moore Lukkarila

Tracey first discovered yoga at the gym. As a self proclaimed gym rat, she enjoyed yoga as a part of her gym routine, but she never really felt connected or hooked the way she had heard from avid yoga practitioners. At the recommendation of a friend she eventually made her way into a yoga studio offering Baptiste Yoga. Her first impression was that the class was brutal. It was too hot and she sweated way too much. She was sure that she would never return.But the things the instructor said about rinsing out and opening up kept coming back to her. She felt compelled to try again. From the second class onward she was hooked. She realized that the practice was not just about building strength and stretching her body, but also strengthening and stretching her mind.

As a teacher Tracey hopes to help others get grounded, clear their heads, and live in the present on and off the mat.

Tracey holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a master's certificate in Public Health. She is passionate about animals and she volunteer with Animal Care and Protective Services (Jacksonville's city shelter). She rounds up feral cats for catch/neuter/release with her husband Troy. Tracey also enjoys craft, travel, hiking, camping, watching movies, reading, singing, and spending time with friends.
Slow down, relax, restore! This is a gentle and Meditative flow with emphasis on opening and restorative poses. It is mostly floor work to open up areas of the body that tend to be the most strained or tense. You will leave feeling more open physically, mentally and emotionally.
